Tipton Community Foundation
Mission
Uniting Together To Create A Stronger Future For Our Community.Profile
The Tipton Community Foundation was established in the Fall of 2023 when a group of small-town individuals with big dreams met around a living room table. The group wanted to form a 501c3 non-profit organization where citizens could come together to provide funds to enrich the quality of life for all residents of Tipton, today and well into the future.
In order to set this vision in motion it was noted that each couple/individual present would need to pledge $1,000 to cover the initial set-up-fund and legal fees. All present were unanimously in favor of doing so! Their donations allowed them to give back to the community and the supportive individuals who helped raise them.
The Board of Directors immediately invested in their greatest resources, the alumni of Tipton as well as friends and family of their community. In 3 short months, the Tipton Community foundation raised $65,000 and reached their goal of surpassing $100,000 within the first year. We are now moving towards our 3rd year. in 2026 we hope to start granting towards worthy projects in our community.
The volunteer Board of Directors and Advisory Committee are dedicated to helping preserve the heritage of Tipton, build relationships, and link arms with local leadership to improve our community. We know we may not be able to predict all of our needs now or in the future, but what a wonderful feeling it is to know we are leaving a legacy for the next generation of Tipton!
We are currently seeking funds to help construct the Multi Sports Court in the City Park. Our current slab is approximately 60 years old and in need of updating. The new court will provide a basketball court, tennis & pickle ball court surrounded by new fencing.
